Christmas in April

Last night a friend and I were walking to the train station after drinks downtown with the co-workers. Just then, a thin, black Santa passed by and shared with us (and other passersby) this gift:

"Ladies, if you truly love your husbands, you'll scratch that itch in his buttcrack!"

Wise words indeed. Won't you take them to your heart, as we did ours?

After all, in these dark times, it is important to embrace the spirit of giving the whole year through! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Silly Giggle Time

I haven't updated for a while because some sad life stuff has happened recently and I haven't really been in the mood. And even though I'm hoping you will accept it as such, that is really no excuse. So I've been attempting to buck up.

I always find that a good way to change your poopy mood is to watch a very silly movie. The best silly movies to watch are ones that:

1. Not everyone has heard of.
2. You really had to be in a certain kind of mood to enjoy the first time you saw it.
3. Contain phrases that, when spoken randomly at other times in your life, still make you giggle.

One such movie is Evil Alien Conquerors. It stars that one guy from The Drew Carey Show, and that one guy from Saturday Night Live. The movie is incredibly dumb but a silly giggle fest if ever I watched one. The premise is ridiculous and the budget is negligible, but the lovability of the actors and innocence of the plot makes up for it.

Diedrich Bader's intense hatred of a cow alone is enough to warrant watching it. Plus, you get to see Tory Spelling with a unibrow. And if you love fake dummies being flung around, brother, you're in luck!

I cannot guarantee you will like this movie, and you should definitely not watch it if you are feeling particularly critical that day. But if you're in the mood to watch a bunch of people act very silly in an attempt to make you giggle, and you have half a mind to let them, it might just be your cup of Smirnoff Ice.
