Last Night I Dreamt of Lilacs

I guess that means I'm really missing them.

Now I'm not much of a one for flowers, I can probably only name about four in total and gardening has never held the slightest interest for me, but every May I get exited about lilacs.

And it's not just the time of year that they come out in, the lovely warm springtime, either. I just love to stick my head in a lilac tree and take long deep breaths. It's a very calming thing to do. I highly recommend doing it before meeting with the marketing department about anything if you can at all manage it.

Anyway, in my dream I had discovered that the tree down at the end of my street had already started to bloom and I was very happy as that meant all kinds of nice things, e.g. the ability to stop and smell lilacs on the way to work each day, the possibility of snatching off a tiny bud or two to inhale defensively on the notoriously bad-smelling streetcar, but most importantly that warm, sunny weather was already on its way to stay for the summer.

Imagine my chagrin when I woke up to an icy cold, rainy day that was destined to feel like 8:00 p.m. all day long. Ugh.

Oh well, only a few more months to go and my dream will come true. (Well, at least that part of the dream. For the rest of the dream we'd need to clone at least two more Jason Stathams. *Ahem* I mean cute boyfriends, my cute boyfriend. Yes.)
