Hot Lepre-cam Action!
Happy St. Patrick's day from "This is Joe's Fault" to you and yourn!
As a special treat, please enjoy this tasty little tidbit that I found on the web recently. Not since a young, black-haired and creepy-looking Sean Connery affected an "Irish" accent in Darby O'Gill and the Little People has the Legend of the Leprechaun been so cornily delightful.
I'm hoping that on Friday they at least have a midget or two in green striped stockings dancing a drunken jig 'round a couple of toadstools. It would truly be a wasted opportunity if they don't.
Say, speaking of drunken jigs, this St. Patty's day I'll be spending the day in an Irish pub toasting the health of my friends, family and poor, beleaguered liver. I don't usually do the whole wearin' o' the green thing, but this year is special because the holiday happens to fall on a Friday. Friday nights me and a group of friends generally gather there anyway, we just thought we'd start a little early this time. Like, say, about noon. Jesus, Mary and Joseph have mercy on our souls...
I have just the slogan for a great St. Paddy's day t-shirt, too: "Kiss Me! I think my Great-Grandmother on my Father's side may have been Irish!" I'm thinking 8 pt font ought to do it.
I'd like to leave you now with this beautiful and ancient Irish blessing: "May the wind be always at your back, may all your wishes come true, and may your wife never find out about that one thing you did that time with that other guy. You know what I'm talking about. With the feathers and the lip balm? Amen."
Cheers!
